Why I Chose This Spot:
I'm frequently looking for a good Chinese restaurant. My partner and I were in the general area with a patient, and the map on my phone recommended it. It was highly reviewed, and the photos were flattering.
First Impressions:
As this establishment is situated in the midst of a modern strip center, it didn't stand out. Upon entering, the dining area was very clean, with multiple booths and tables, at which to sit. There was not an abundance of Chinese decor. It appeared to be a higher-end eatery (it wasn't).
The Service:
There were only a few customers at the time, so sat down in a booth, The server met us at the table with the menus, and then Jasmine Tea (hot), and then water. She soon returned and took my drink order (iced tea). She was questioned about her favorite dish, and what were the best sellers. She returned with my tea shortly and took our food order. She was prompt and polite.
The Menu:
The menu contained the "standard" Chinese fare; pork dishes, beef dishes, chicken dishes, etc. They had two pages of appetizers. 2 pages were filled with some of the best-sellers - Hot Noodle Soup (with some listed as spicy).
What was ordered:
The pork Shu Mai was ordered as an appetizer. I ordered the Tiger Fried Rice and my partner ordered the Tiger Stir Fried Noodle (both had multiple proteins). I requested that
the dish be prepared with a higher spice level than is standard, as did my partner. Spice level: 3/10.
The Food:
Everything that we ordered was fantastic, and prepared correctly.
Value for Money:
The lunch ran us (well, my partner), $42, Overall, I feel that this price range is good, and I received a
fairly generous portion. They dropped ours 20% for First Responders.
Would I Return?
Absolutely. All of the food tasted great and the price/portion was more than fair. Even without a specific Lunch menu.
