Why I Chose This Spot:
Back in 2013 or so, I came up with a New Year's resolution. Once a month, I'm going to try an eatery that I've never tried before. Some of these eateries I have found simply by driving by. Some of them have been on a TV show, like on The Food Network, or The Travel Channel. We're down to a core group of two couples (there have been many months with more than a dozen in our group). This evening, my partner at work and his girlfriend joined us.
First Impressions:
This eatery is is located at the end of a small strip center, and it's difficult to see from the main road, as there is another building in front of it. I frequent the Nursing Home across the street, so I drive by it often.
The Service:
Our server was extremely good, and knowledgeable about the menus. The other staff was quick with drink refills and/or more chips & salsa.
The Menu:
They have enchiladas, tacos, combos, shareables, fajitas, soups and salads, and desserts. They also have a drink menu. (Neither The Wife nor I drink.)
What we ordered:
The Wife ordered the beef quesadillas, and I ordered their Eagle Pass combination.
The Food:
Everything was delicious, and prepared decently. Both of the other couples liked the food as well.
Value for Money:
The
prices are fairly standard; perhaps a touch more towards Fine Dining. Overall, I feel that this is good, and the
portion was decent for a Fat Paramedic.
Would I Return?
Absolutely. The food twas tasty and the price/portion was fair.
