Why I Chose This Spot:
Back
in 2013 or so, I came up with a New Year's resolution. Once a month,
I'm going to try an eatery that I've never tried before. Some of these
eateries I have found simply be driving by. Some of them have been on a
TV show, like on The Food Network, or The Travel Channel. We're down
to a core group of two couples (there have been many months with more
than a dozen in our group).
First Impressions:
As this establishment is situated in the middle of a strip center, it didn't stand out. If you aren't a fan of Hole-in-the-wall eateries, you may not think to go inside. Upon entering, the dining are was very clean, with multiple booths and tables, at which to sit. There was an abundance of parking available. The restaurant was spacious and the decor was definitely nautical.
The Service:
The waitstaff was all very friendly (and spoke fairly understandable English). Our server was knowledgeable about the menu.
The Menu:
The menu contained seafood dishes (as you would predict), pasta dishes, appetizers, etc.
What was ordered:
We had the Carne Asada, the Coctel de Camaron, Seafood pasta (with Alfredo sauce, and Shrimp quesadillas.
The Food:
Everything that we ordered was fantastic, and prepared correctly. All four of us liked our meal a lot. There was a decently sized portion in all meals.
Value for Money:
The price
range is good, less costly than the "standard" seafood eatery, and the portions were ample for a Fat Paramedic.
Would I Return?
Absolutely. All of the food tasted great and the price/portion was more than fair.
