 The Cookshack 160 W Bay Area Blvd, Webster, TX 77598      www.thecookshack.com Why I Chose This Spot: Back in 2013 or so, I came up with a New Year's resolution.  Once a month, I'm going to try an eatery that I've never tried before.  Some of these eateries I have found simply be driving by.  Some of them have been on a TV show, like on The Food Network, or The Travel Channel.  We're down to a core group of two couples (there have been many months with more than a dozen in our group).   First Impressions: As this establishment is situated in the corner of a modern strip center, it didn't stand out.  Upon entering, the dining are was very clean, with multiple booths and tables, at which to sit.  There was an abundance of parking available.   The Service: The Wife and I were the only customers at the time that we walked in, so I was asked if I could sit where I desired, while awaiting the other couple.....

 L & A China Cafe 4130 FM 762, Space 700, Rosenberg, Texas 77469      www.lachinacafetx.com Why I Chose This Spot: I'm frequently looking for a good Chinese restaurant.  I was in the general area to run an errand, and the map on my phone located it.  It was highly reviewed, and the photos were flattering.   First Impressions: As this establishment is situated in the corner of a modern strip center, it didn't stand out.  Upon entering, the dining are was very clean, with multiple booths and tables, at which to sit.  There was not an abundance of Chinese decor.   The Service: I was the only customer at the time, so I was instructed to sit where I desired.  As I sat down in the booth, the server met me at the table with a menu and took my drink order (iced tea).  He returned with it shortly and took my food order.  He was prompt and polite.  He was vigilant about keeping my tea glass filled.   The Menu...
